Yoga offers a wealth of resources for
working with addiction. Whether one suffers from addictive behaviors or
actual dependence on a substance, tools drawn from Yoga practice can be
highly practical in one's effort to restore balance and cultivate
serenity.
Together, we will look at how to apply several concrete, specific Yoga
skills to the addictive experience, and increase our sense of
skillfulness in caring for ourselves. Students should expect to be able
to integrate these skills into their practice on and off the mat by the
end of the workshop.
Please note: a minimum chemical dependence sobriety of
approximately one month is requested for all participants. Please
contact the studio if there are questions about this policy.
