Spotlight

We regularly spotlight one of our teachers, students, classes or something else going on at the studio. This month we're spotlighting:

Erin McCormack - Serenity Yoga Student

It's always very exciting to me to learn about what our students do in their 'real' lives.  I recently learned that one of our long time students, Erin McCormack, wrote and published a novel.  So I wanted to share this news with our Serenity community.

Here's how Erin describes her book:
Erin L. McCormack, Bedford resident and longtime Serenity Yoga student, is happy to share the news of her recently self-published novel, SPANISH SOAP OPERAS, about three young women from different backgrounds living and working in Manhattan in the late 1980's.  The book, targeted toward community college students, is a fast and fun read with lots of soap opera action along with more serious issues.

The book is available through Amazon.com for $14.95 ( Kindle version available for $4.95), or through Erin at dkkelm@aol.com. Check out the page on Amazon, or go to her website: www.erinlmccormack.com for a summary and more information about the book.

Amazon.com offers this book with free shipping on orders of $25 or more.  When I looked it up, I found this review from someone who read the book:

“Reading this story reminded me of so many young women striking out on their own: Leaving home, finding a job, making new friends, and facing tough choices. It reinforces many important themes about trusting your gut, being able to deal with disappointments, and how to be a strong, independent young woman. Mothers, get this book for your teen-aged daughters. This is no Jersey Shore; it's the real world for young women finding their way in American society.

Congratulations to Erin for pursuing her dream and now seeing it in print in all it's glory!
